Giving gifts to your partner is not as easy as it seems. Many of us enjoy showing our love in the form of a gift. After much time, thought, and often money, you happily give it to them. Sometimes, things end up just as they do on the diamond commercials with a passionate kiss and expressions of love. But often, the giver is disappointed in the receiver’s reaction, and the receiver is either indifferent or hurt by the gift.
Recently, yet another woman e-mailed me after a break up and said, “I gave him the best years of my life.” I’m amazed at how often I hear this, and how many women believe this to be true. Although you may lose time that you cannot get back in a relationship, you decide whether the best years of your life, are behind you or yet to come.
With Valentines Day around the corner, you see the typical gifts stocked in every store. Many women can expect to receive these token gifts: flowers, a box of chocolates, or a card. Some hope for something more meaningful this season: a small jewelry box containing an engagement ring, the symbol of moving their relationship to the next level.
This season is a great time to make goals to better yourself and your life. It is common for people to go on a diet, especially after eating so well during the holidays! Others may set goals to be more organized, improve at a certain talent, or finish their education. Some may resolve to better their relationship with their spouse. As a single woman, is it possible for you to do anything to improve your romantic life?
