An elastic corset lingerie that’s a fusion of a brassiere and corset/girdle, the corset bustier lifts and flattens the stomach, just like other normal corsets. Considered as women’s undergarment, the corset bustier is usually worn on the upper torso, extending from the chest to the hips, though some variations only reach until the middle of the ribs, like a sports bra.

Though the type of boning spells the difference between a corset bustier and a corset, modern bustier are often made with mesh panels rather than boning. Nevertheless, a bustier that does feature boning has light boning that’s not as stiff and rigid as an ordinary corset’s, giving lighter but just as effect support. Made of lighter and stretchable synthetic fabrics like lycra and spandex, the corset bustier usually have rows of hook and eye closures or lace-up backs.

You can wear corset bustier under blouses or tops for a variety of attire; from office clothes, bridal wear to evening gowns. It’s a very versatile and flattering piece of lingerie indeed. A warning, though: A corset bustier should never be machine washed. It should instead be washed with cold water, because hot water will wear out the elastic and damage the boning.

The entire outfit is made of lace fabric, and features bra cups with underwire; just like regular bra. It’s also usually bought with panties for a matched set. Furthermore, it sports garter straps for removal stockings and may or may not include straps. An embodiment of femininity and sexiness, a corset bustier not only makes women’s breasts appear larger and their waist smaller, but only boosts up their self-confidence as well.
