Starting a business from home can be very challenging and very time consuming. Before you start a business from home you should ask yourself these questions:

Can I commit the time?

Do I have the motivation?

Do I have the work ethic?

Many people have a misunderstanding about starting a business from home, especially when working with web pages. The misconception about starting an online business is that you simply need to set it up and put it on cruise control. If you do this, the results will reflect the effort.

The home business that I started is called Global Resorts Network. Is it a website to sell travel memberships, that provide members with huge savings at 5 star resorts. This brings in instant, as well as residual income. This is not a get rich scheme, it takes hard work, time and dedication which also is reflected in the results. Most often when people start a home business, they get discouraged very easily due to the fact that after a month or so the results that they expected are not achieved. This is because of the lack of time and effort put into it.

One very important thing to remember when starting a business from home is that it is a business and you have to treat it like one. There will be ups and there will be downs. Everyone loves the ups, but you have to make sure to work through the downs and not get discouraged. My personal example of a down is I bought 2 solo ads, sent to 1,000,000 people each. Of those 2,000,000 people I got 8 bad leads. You have to treat the downs as learning experiences. Minor setbacks. Not catastrophic, business threatening events. Also, when you are working from home you have to keep yourself motivated. A simple way to do so is to set out daily goals, regardless of the size. The key is to write down your daily goals and be sure to accomplish them!

If you are looking for a home business, consider clicking the link in my resource box. The difference with Global Resorts is the travel membership. You will always get access to the discounted resorts. Remember, the keys to success: Treating your business as it deserves to be treated - like a real business. Putting appropriate amounts of time and effort in - results reflect effort. Working through the downs - treat the downs as learning experiences, don’t make the same mistake next time.
