The best source for problem identification, generating ideas and innovation is creativity. Through the tests of creative thinking you can maximise this power. Everyone is different, and whilst one individual may be stronger in a particular area, the other individual may be stronger in another. If you are a leader in your organization, or if you are overseeing managers, or if you are overseeing anyone that needs to be creative to flourish in your business, then these tests will give you a better understanding of what your organisation is built around.

There are so many different ways, and tests of creative thinking that you could implement into your organization to see just how well your business is doing. If you want your company bursting with creativity then these tests are a must. Here are some ways that you could use to make sure your business is as creative as it should be.

1. Interviewing employees - Whilst interviewing future employees there are a number of things you could look out for. You need to find an employee who is not afraid, someone who is secure enough in their environment to express their ideas and are likely to persuade you and others to their way of thinking. Some seniors can be quite stubborn to change and innovation, therefore you should be on the look out for someone who is not going to back down on their own ideas. An interviewee who is outspoken, and ready to give their views on a particular subject without worrying about the risk of upsetting others is the one you should be employing. These types of people may cause chaos now and again, but they believe me it would be worth it if it makes your company as creative as it can be.

2. Personality conflicts - It could be a clear indication that your organization could be heading in the wrong direction if you experience suppression instead of expression of ideas in your workplace. It may be an idea to make sure that the juniors are not feeling like the seniors are constantly watching them or waiting for them to make a mistake. By making sure that your seniors are not putting a damper on you juniors creativity you can ensure that you have a much more creative workforce.

In order for your employees to be creative they are going to need the right tools. In meetings provide them with notebooks, and use a whiteboard. You will be surprised at the amount of creative ideas your workforce will come up with whilst looking back over old notes.

Creativity and fun go hand in hand. There are many ways in which you can implement fun in the workplace. You can’t expect employees to be creative if they are bored stiff, so bring some fun into the meeting room.

You should always be finding new ways to implement creativity in your organization. Why not look for new ways for your employees to do the same daily jobs. You could change the way they organize the office or even the way they answer the telephone.

There are a wide range of tests of creative thinking that can keep your business going in the right direction. Remember if you want a creative organization, you need a creative atmosphere.
