Everyone should set goals no matter what those goals might be. When loosing weight it is imperative to set a weight loss goal. Set your goals high, if your goal does not scare you, then youv’e set your goals too low.

Stephen A. Brennan says Our goals can only be reached through a vehicle of a plan, in which we must fervently believe, and upon which we must vigorously act. There is no other route to success.

So set big goals!

Set Measurable Goals!

Set your goals in measurable steps, progressing towards your goals. Your goal is to loss 20 pounds, one pound at a time. Your goal is fitting into a size 8 dress, by Christmas, one size at a time, one week at a time! My goal is to ride in the 20 mile spring bike ride, one mile at a time, one season at a time.

Set Realistic time lines! There are no unrealistic goals, just unrealistic time lines!Give yourself time, you will only hurt yourself if you set a unreasonable time line. Also have measurements for your goals. What is your goal for the year? For three months? For the week or for the day?

The largest and most respected health, medical and exercise organization, the American College of Sport Medicine, has established guidelines for weight loss. Their recommendation is to loss one to two pounds a week, no more. Yes, it is not a large step by it is a step in the best way to lose weight. The problems with rapid weight loss is that you subject your body to unhealthy conditions. Better yet!, set your goal to 0.5 to 1 pound a week, to make sure you burn fat not lean muscle tissue and damage organs.

Your goals must be reasonable. No way i can look like Halle Berry . Since I have an athletic build (broad shoulders, slim hips and about 1 inch between my rib cage and my hip bone), the only way to get her figure is die and come back in a different body! So those type of curves (for me) are really not possible. So to be happy , I must be reasonable!

We must start by writing down our goals. On paper, so we can see every day what is our goal. Also put down how you feel about the goal.

Be honest with your self, if your not then who will be? Be faithful to your goals, no negatives, just positives, Don’t try , Do!

If you commit yourself to your goal, you will reach it!

Your goal will not be easy. Nothing worth wile is, but it will be wonderful when you complete the last step and accomplish your goal!
