German authorities arrested three of the suspects in September 2007 with 26 military detonators and 12 drums of hydrogen peroxide, more explosive material than that used in the 2004 bombings of commuter trains in Madrid, Spain, which killed nearly 200 people. SPAIN'S supreme court has overturned the guilty verdicts on four of the 21 people convicted over the Madrid train bombings that killed 191 people in 2004. It also upheld a lower court's decision to acquit one of the alleged masterminds of the al-Qa’ida-inspired attacks, Rabei Ousmane Sayed Ahmed, known as “Mohammed the Egyptian”.
